PSA of the Month
A Mercedes Benz caught alight at the corner of Rivonia and Pybus Road on 10 August. Public Safety Ambassador (PSA) Chris Malatji noticed the incident while patrolling the area and immediately notified the control room.
Reaction supervisors Sibusiso Gwala and Dingaan Mkhasibe responded to the scene and extinguished the fire in time thus preventing damage to another vehicle that was parked alongside it.

Directional Signage
Directional signage poles were erected by the Sandton Central Management District at key locations within the district, as part of the first phase to assist locals and visitors finding their way in Sandton Central
A second phase is on the cards to include more specific businesses / organisations, such as the hotels within the district. Keep your eyes peeled!

Old Mutual is to move their head office from President Street in Joburg CBD to where the Chadrien Place building stands, at the corner of Rivonia Road and West Street, opposite Gautrain Station.

Gautrain a big hit
Gautrain commenced operations between Sandton and OR Tambo International Airport on 8 June 2010. The number of train passenger trips in July were 331 344 with 31 days of operation, compared to 283 552 in June, when there were only 23 days of operation. That's around 10 000 trips a day!
