Dora the Explorer at Sandton City

Dora is an eight-year-old Latina girl who loves life, treasures her family and adores adventures, particularly escapades with her best friend, Boots. Boots is an enthusiastic, energetic five-year-old monkey Dora met one day in the forest. The inseparable duo embarks on trips to find things or help somebody, sometimes accompanied by Dora’s cousin, Diego.
Dora the Explorer is an international phenomenon, reaching millions of viewers daily on Nickelodeon (DStv channel 305). And now she’s coming to South Africa! Sandton City, South Africa’s premier shopping destination, is renowned for its children’s entertainment at Christmastime so it’s no wonder Dora the Explorer chose the centre as the place where she’d most like to spend the holiday season.
Of course, as exciting as it is to have Dora the Explorer here, there’s another character who is just as important at this time of the year. Christmas wouldn’t be Christmas without Santa Claus. Children can have their photographs taken with Santa and have the images printed as photographs or calendars – the perfect present for grandparents. And once the kids are done with photos, they can take a ride around Sandton City on the electric train.
Christmas also means presents and as every mom knows, wrapping them can be very time-consuming.
So for an aDORAble time this festive season, make sure you get to Sandton City!
